Hello Mighty Florida District,
My name is Emil Ilyich, and I am honored to be serving as a Executive Assistant for the 2025–2026 year. I hold this position with great pride and responsibility, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to our district in such a meaningful way.
Leadership Journey
While I have not had the opportunity to hold other positions in Key Club previously, my journey here has still been amazing. I moved from another country during my junior year, and Key Club has given me a sense of community and belonging that I hadn’t experienced before. This inspired me to apply for the role, and since then it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my high school career, and I’m glad that I get to serve in such a special way.
As Executive Assistant, I work closely with the Executive Committee to ensure projects, initiatives, and communication run smoothly across the Florida District. My role is to support the Governor, Secretary, Treasurer, and Editor in their responsibilities, while also helping strengthen collaboration between the Executive Board and Lieutenant Governors.
Vision for the Year
By the end of my term I hope to see Key Club in Florida as a more open, creative, and connected community. I want to bring our members together, see more of their fantastic ideas turned into reality, and build a closer connection between our Executive Board and Lieutenant Governors. Most of all, I want to complete all my responsibilities and leave a good strong base for the next century of service to continue on.
Fun Facts
- I am senior at Cypress bay High school
- I like to draw and even have a instagram account for my art
- I recently watched K-pop Demon Hunters and loved it so much that I couldn’t stop drawing
- Some of my favorite Netflix shows include Arcane, Breaking Bad, and The Queen’s Gambit.
- I’m a big fan of pizza—especially the European kind!
- My music taste is all over the place, but one of my favorites is Ecco2K because his style combines the best of two worlds.
Looking Ahead
Although I do not know yet what college I will be going to, I hope to get accepted into the University of Florida or another large out-of-state school this fall. I would love to study Law/Legal Rights. Key Club has completely transformed my life and my vision for the future. Because of this organization, I now know I want to make a difference by advocating for others and working to create a better world.
Final Reflections
To the Florida District members—I am so excited to work with all of you this year. We have so many accomplishments to look forward to, from new projects to cherished memories. Thank you so much for being a part of this journey and for the Key Club.
There is only one year like this, so let’s make it as memorable and impactful as we can make it!
