Hello Mighty Florida District,
My name is Chloe Russ, and I am honored to be your 2025–2026 District Editor. I’m beyond excited to serve this district filled with passionate, service‑driven Key Clubbers. Thank you for trusting me to help elevate your stories and celebrate your impact.
My Leadership Journey
Before becoming District Editor, I served as my clubs Editor. That experience taught me how to effectively communicate with others, the power of creativity, and the importance of recognizing the achievements of others. As District Editor, I want to take that experience to the next level by strengthening communication within our district, publishing creative and informative newsletters, and working with club editors to provide them with the resources and tips that they need to be successful.
As District Editor, I create monthly newsletter templates for LTGs, our executive newsletter called the key feed, create our district’s seasonal magazine The Sunshine Source, develop articles for the KeyUp blog, and serve as Executive Advisor for the Communications Committee, overseeing the district website, Instagram, and all other publications.
Vision for the Year
This year, my goal is to foster stronger connections within the Florida District and amplify the voices of our members. Through district publications such as The Key Feed and The Sunshine Source, as well as our KeyUp blog and Instagram, I hope to celebrate the amazing work of our clubs, provide helpful resources, and inspire collaboration across divisions. I am committed to equipping our club editors for success and making our communications engaging, inclusive, and informative for everyone.
Fun Facts
- I love watching movies—some of my favorite film series are The Alien series, Night at the Museum, and Marvel movies.
- My favorite music genres are Rock and Pop, and some of my favorite artists are Måneskin, Doechii, Amy Winehouse, and ABBA.
- I love to collect pins (from places I’ve visited and things I’m passionate about).
- I love traveling and have been to Britain, Germany, France, Cuba, and more.
- I like playing Dungeons & Dragons.
- I’m a huge Crocs fan—especially Disney designs.
Looking Ahead
I hope to attend a veterinary or science-focused college, my favorites are UF or Texas A&M. My goal is to earn my DVM and work as a veterinarian, specializing in either large animals or exotic species.Through my Key Club experiences, I’ve learned the value of teamwork, community involvement, and empathy, all of which will help me not only care for animals but also build trust and understanding with the people who love them.
Final Reflections
This year I am excited to connect with members from across Florida, strengthen our bonds with our LTGs and my Zone J family, and to help make this another historic year for Florida Key Club. I know that together we can create impactful service projects, lasting friendships, and a truly meaningful year.
To all of the Key Clubbers in the Florida District—thank you. It is your creativity, passion, and dedication that makes this district the best it can be. Every story that you share, every project that you start, every connection that you make — it matters. I am proud to serve with all of you and I cannot wait to see what we will accomplish this year.
With Mighty Pride,
Chloe Russ
