This year, our district will be introducing a new initiative, the Large-Scale Service Project (LSP), which will take the place of the Governor’s Project. This project will span four years and have a focus on the central theme of poverty.

Through the Feedback Form sent out in May 2025, our District Board voted on the top two themes and ultimately selected Strive to Thrive, as our Large-Scale Service Project for this four-year cycle.

What is the Purpose of the Project?

The LSP allows for greater continuity, deeper impact, and stronger engagement across all clubs. Instead of starting from scratch, clubs will be able to build on their efforts year after year, allowing for greater sustainability.

The mission of Strive to Thrive is to break cycles of poverty by supporting youth and families through education, community-building, and access to practical resources, one step at a time. Together we can combat the struggles of poverty and better the communities around us!

Where to Start:

Plan a service project or event! You can always do a school supply drive, make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, or create a food pantry within your school. You can find more ideas in the LSP Handbook, LSP Presentation, or Service Project Handbook, found above under Resources. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please contact 2025-2026 Service and Partners Chair Valentina Garibotti at serviceandpartnerschair@floridakeyclub.org
